b56c811f1a Temporarily hardcode git commit 
The build process may not have access to git directly.
Long term, the build process provide a way to bake in the git info so that src.rpms are rebuildable.

edb1d181e9 Provide hook for saner versioning 
The traditional approach was not adequately
hooked into git.  It should do nothing by
default differently.
